2015

September 30th, 2014

With the racing season coming to a completion last week, work begins preparing for the 2015 racing season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported racing at the Bedford Speedway this year. The positive response from racers and fans throughout the season has been absolutely amazing, and it is very much appreciated. We would also like to send a special thank you to the Bedford County Agricultural Society for providing us with a fantastic facility to race at. Moving forward to next year, many plans are in the works.

The new season is tentatively scheduled to kick off with two test and tune sessions, on Saturday March 28th and again on Saturday April 4th. Opening Day will be the following weekend, on Friday night April 10th . The new schedule has 28 races on it, concluding at the end of September with the annual Fall Fest. Each of the regular Bedford divisions (Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Semi Lates, Modifieds, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders) will be making approximately 20 appearances each on the new schedule. The popular Racesaver 305 sprints will be making over a dozen appearances. The speedway will again host a race as part of the 7th Annual Appalachian Mountain Speedweek Tour and the stars of the Three State Flyers will make several visits. In addition there will be appearances by the URC and 410 sprints, and the always popular vintage car clubs.

Popular fan events such as $5.00 admission night, ladies night, fireworks, kids bicycle races and candy tosses will be spread throughout the season.

Details for the annual Bedford Awards Banquet are currently being finalized, with details soon to be released.  The top ten in points will be receiving awards and point fund at the banquet.

The completed 2015 race schedule will be posted on this website in November.

Rules for our divisions are currently being evaluated and will be posted on this website in early November. Racers should not expect any serious changes to the regulations.

Thanks for a great race season and have a wonderful winter everyone!
