RINE ROARS TO ANOTHER BEDFORD WIN

July 7th, 2018

Jeff Rine scored another  big win as he took the Tri Track closer at Bedford Friday night.  The event, also known as the Milt Miller classic, was Rine’s third of the season and added to his already healthy point lead.  In other action, Drake Troutman, Bill Replogle and  Todd Price win support events.

By the luck of the draw, Jeff Rine started on the pole in the Late Model 30 lapper.  He got the drop on Dylan Yoder at the start and pretty much left the field in his wake.  After two quick cautions in the first two laps, the field went to lap 10 before slowing again.  Rine got away as Matt Cosner moved in to battle Yoder.     Cosner got by Yoder on a lap 10 restart, but the man on the move was Jared Miley, who was already up to third after passing Yoder on lap 12.     Read more »

TWO NEW AND TWO OLD WINNERS AT BEDFORD $2 NIGHT.

June 30th, 2018

Two was the optimum number at Bedford Friday night as a huge crowd spent $2 apiece to see two first time winners and two old hands in Victory Lane.  Bob Jay, the all time career Semi Late win leader took his first win  of 2018 and Denny Pittman won his second Pure Stock event of the season.  At the other end of the spectrum, Drake Troutman devastated the Emod field for a first career win before point leader Todd Price  closed the evening with a career first 4 Cylinder win.  Each division went for 20 laps in the special program.

After a  frustrating season. Bob Jay’s low point average earned him the pole position in the Semi Late event,  He grabbed the lead at the start and led the distance.   Behind Jay was a lively battle as Mark Patterson, Jesse Snyder and Greg Hainsey battled for second.  Point leader Bill Replogle joined that battle late in the event a Patterson faded. TROUTMAN SCORES AGAIN

April 21st, 2018

The racing weather in Bedford Friday night was winterlike cold, but Dave Troutman was hot for 25 laps.  Troutman, who  waited a decade between Bedford feature wins before scoring last week, jumped back in only seven days later to score again in Friday night action.   The recent pair of wins doubled Troutmans career total to four Late Model wins at the track, the other both coming in late 2007.  In other action, first time winners reigned as Kyle Ganoe scored his first career 305 win and Troy Johnson took the EMod event.  Josh Frankenberry took the Pure Stock event before Wayne Brenize ended his short retirement with a 4 Cylinder win.

A bit of luck accompanied Troutman for the evening.  As only the second event of the season, the lineup was determined by pill draw and Troutman was not handicapped in the field as the recent featuire winner.  Then Troutman again benefitted as front row starters DJ Troutman and Nathan Lasalle both failed to answer the call for the start, moving him two spots forward.
