This Sunday will mark the annual return of the 410 Sprint Cars to the historic Bedford oval. The Sprints will be racing 30 laps for $5000 to win, making Sundays show easily one of the biggest Sprint car events in the speedways history. Also on the card will be the Late Model Sportsman and Four Cylinders.
This Sundays race will be a qualifier for the first of two guaranteed starting spots in September’s $20,000-to-win Dirt Classic Presented By Kasey Kahne.
Fans should be prepared to witness the fastest cars in Pennsylvania at one of the biggest, fastest tracks in the region. The oldest operating dirt track in the state, Bedford has hosted its fair share of sprint car races. Central PA drivers have recently held court at the track – Mike Wagner was the winner of the last sprint car event at Bedford Speedway, with Jack Sodeman and Logan Schuchart rounding out the top-three in the 2013 event.
The 30 main event will pay $5000 to win, $400 to start, with a total purse of over $23,000. For more information please check out www.dirtclassic.com
Gates will open at 4:00 with warmups at 6:00 and racing at 6:30. General admission will be $25 with kids 12 and under free. Fans can recieve a $5 discount in the stands by presenting any 2014 Bedford raincheck, making the admission price $20. Pit admission will be $30.
