Bedford Speedway will be in action twice this weekend, Friday night, May 28 th, and Sunday night May 30th, as we celebrate the Memorial Day Holiday. For many years the first holiday of summer has been a busy race weekend,
and this year is no different.
Friday night we honor the memory of one of the area’s greatest drivers, Turk Burket.
The special event will feature the Late Models, Semi Lates & Pure Stocks each racing in a special feature event. The Late Model 40 lap feature will pay $4000 to the winner while the Semi Late 25 laps feature pays the winner
$500 and the Pure Stock 20 lap winner will take home $300. J&O Fireplaces of Duncansville PA, a longtime supporter of racing, will again return as the sponsor of the Burket Tribute.
All drivers will draw a pill for heat starting position. The Late Models will then qualify for heat starting position. The top finishers in the heats will then redraw for feature starting position. .
Friday night gates open at 5:00 with warmups at 7:00 and racing at 7:30. General admission is $20, with kids 12 and under free. Pit admission is $30.
Bedford will return to action on Sunday, May 30th with the second part of the big Memorial Day Doubleheader. Sunday night will welcome the Late Model Sportsman, with a 25 lap $1000 to win feature. Also in action Sunday will
be the Racesaver Sprints, Modifieds, Four Cylinders.
Sunday gates open at 4:00, with warmups at 6:00 and racing at 6:30. General admission is $10, with kids 12 and under free. Pit admission is $30.
