Once again this season the Bedford Speedway
had to deal with rain on a Friday night but this time
prevailed to present the annual Speedweek event,
this year honoring former racer Bob Elbin.
Once again as has become a regular happening in
Bedford high paying events lately, the big winner of
the evening was Mason Zeigler who snared the 35
lap win. It was Zeigler’s third recent big Bedford win
coming after wins in the last two 2025 track events
In other action, Rick Potter snared the Semi Late
event and Brandon Hoover prevailed in the EMod
closer.
Mason Zeigler shot around pole sitter Justin
Weaver at the start and was ahead at the first
caution on lap 14. Satterlee closed slightly on
Zeigler until the leader got embroiled in lapped traffic
a few laps later. At that point Satterlee closed
quickly but Zeigler held on. A few quick cautions
closed the field during the mid stages but Zeigler
wasn’t really threatened at the front.
The turning point came when Amanda Robinson
hit the wall on the front stretch on lap 33 setting up a
wild two lap run to settle things. On that final restart
Satterlee went for all the marbles, challenging
Zeigler at the front and making a wild effort coming
off turn 5 for the finish.
But Zeigler held on to score the narrow win over
Satterlee who was trailed by Matt Sponaugle, Rick
Eckert and Trevor Feathers.
Feathers, Bryan Bernheisel, Jeff Miller and
Eckert won the heats. Robinson won the B. Ross
Robinson was a Feature Scratch after engine issues
in his heat. Jakob Piper was the track provisional
starter.
Rick Potter turned the Semi late event into a
Sunday drive after taking the lead on lap 1 and
leading the 15 lap distance. He was trailed across
the line by Gerrett Keifer, Kyle Deneen and Travis
Calhoun Kyle Weyandt and Keifer won the heats.
Brandon Hoover took the lead from Bryve
Broadwater on lap 10 and then held off Spike Moore
to score the exciting EMod win. Broadwater, Ed
Vogel and David Green completed the field
