90th Anniversary Schedule Released; Opening Day Sunday March 29th

December 27th, 2025

The 2026 Bedford Speedway race schedule has been released and is available on the speedway website. A total of 29 races are planned for the new season. The big fairgrounds track, which first featured racing in 1936, will commence on track activity with practice sessions on Sunday March 22nd  and Saturday March 28th leading up to Opening Day on Sunday March 29th.

The opening event of the season will feature the first ever visit of the Short Track Super Series Modifieds to the speedway, joined by the Late Models and Pure Stocks. The first Friday race of the year will be on April 3rd with racing continuing throughout the summer, weekly until September, with points racing concluding on Labor Day weekend. As is tradition at Bedford the Super Late Models will headline Friday night racing events. The season will conclude on September 25th & 26th with the 9th annual Keystone Cup weekend.

In addition to weekly Late Model racing, special events include the World of Outlaws visiting on Sunday May 17th, several extra distance races through the summer, the 39th Labor Day 55 and the season ending Keystone Cup.

The 152nd Annual Bedford Fair Sweepstakes race will be Friday night July 31st, each year one of the most special nights of the racing season.

Special open wheel events, sanctioned by the new PA Posse 410 Sprint Series, URC Sprints, USAC East Coast Wingless Sprints, Laurel Highlands Racesaver Sprints, as well as the Wingless Super Sportsman Series are also planned.

The ground pounding modifieds will make two visits to Bedford this year, the first with the Short Track Super Series on Opening Day followed by the BRP Modified Tour in June.

Bedford fans can look forward to the usual array of upbeat and fun promotions next season. Parents are reminded that kids 12 and under are always free at Bedford and can look forward to such fun as the kids bike races, candy tosses, and kids racecar rides during the season.

On $5.00 Fan Night in July, the evening’s racing will be preceded by a car show & autograph session where racers are encouraged to bring their car to the midway to meet their fans, get pictures and sell merchandise. Following the racing action that night the speedway will be presenting its annual fireworks show.
