COLE FALLOWAY TAKES BEDFORD $10,000

September 22nd, 2024

Cole Falloway  roared into Bedford and took the closing event of the annual fallfest weekend Saturday.   The win in the 39 lap annual Troutman tribute  EMod event was worth $10,000.    In the companion Limited Late Model event, Kyle Hardy took a convincing victory in the McBee owned 11 car.

Cole Falloway lined up 7th in the Emod event and started his march forward almost immediately as David Stremme led early.  Will Krup took second on lap two and immediately started working on Stremme for the lead.   But Falloway was on the move.   He was fourth on lap 6 and got by Friday winner Spike Moore on lap 8.   He quickly ran down the leaders, taking second from Krup on lap 11.

After several early cautions, the event ran caution free for the remaining laps and Falloway was all over Stremme.  Threading among lapped traffic, Falloway made his move and took over the lead on lap 24.  From that point on, he left Stremme and Krup to battle alone as he moved further ahead on every lap.

At full speed over the last half of the race, Falloway lapped up to tenth place driver Ray Kable and won by almost 8 seconds over Stremme and Krup.  Spike Moore and George Dixon completed the top 5    Falloway and Evan Taylor won the heats.  Dixon won the fast timer dash.

Kyle Hardy started on the Limited Late Model pole and shot away into the lead at the start.   Wes Bonebrake got second but soon was hounded by Shawn Shoemaker.  Lap after lap Shoemaker raced Bonebrake but Bonebrake repelled every challenge as Hardy drove further and further away.

At the finish Hardy was almost 7 seconds ahead of Bonebrake and Shoemaker.  Clinton Hersh and  Barry Miller completed the top 5. Rodney Walls and Barry Miller won the heats.
