Bedford PA, (9/21/25)- It would be quite a memorable weekend for home track hero Drake Troutman as he would make a welcomed visit from his busy WoO Late Model schedule to score wins in both UMP Modified features at Bedford Speedway. Drake’s victories would come in one of the track’s marquee events that honors the life of Drake’s dad, DJ Troutman who sadly passed away in 2021.

Action began on Friday as Troutman snared the lead from his second starting spot and would lead the distance to take the $3000 win aboard his Jerry Foster owned Elite Chassis, Mullins Racing Engines No.5 for his 17th career division feature win. “This race definitely means a lot to me and my family and we’re super excited to pull off the win here tonight.” Cole Fallowy, seventh starting Michael Altobelli, George Dixon Jr and Mitch Thomas would complete the top-five. Heats went to Michael Altobelli and Ray Kable with 2025 track champion Brandon Hoover scoring the B-main victory and George Dixon Jr winning the Dash.

In Friday support class action Chubby Childers took the 20-lap Semi Late feature win over Brian Weyandt Jr, 2025 track champion Kyle Weyant, Dave Brown and Ryan Sager. Heats went to Sager and Bob Jay. Javid Fairall closed out the show with the 15-lap Four Cylinder win over Tyler Beckett, Jason Diehl, 2025 champion Tom Brady and Colin Welsh. Heats went to Fairall and Beckett.

With just the overnight hours to re-group the UMP Modifieds were back on hand Saturday for the second portion of the DJ Troutman Memorial with a 39-lap, $7000 to win finale. After taking top honors on Friday, Drake Troutman and his Jerry Foster owned team, were once again on top of their game as Drake took the lead from Chris Arnold on the second lap and went on to post his second win of the weekend and career 18th, collecting a total of $10,000 for his two days of work. “This car has been flawless all year, those guys do a great job at the upkeep and I feel that we work really well as a team together.” Despite being a memorial race in his father’s honor, Drake prepares for this event, just like any other. “We don’t really prepare any differently because we go to every race with the mindset to win, that’s the goal and that’s the reason we are there.” Cole Falloway secured his second consecutive runner up performance with Chris Arnold, David Stremme and Michael Altobelli rounding out the top five. Heats went to Troutman and Trevor Neville with Falloway winning the Dash. No B main was run as all 30 cars on hand started the show.

Recently crowned Port Royal Speedway Late Model Sportsman champion Lane Snook scored his 4th Bedford win of the season, and overall 19th win of 2025, in the 20-lap Late Model Sportsman headliner Steering his potent Rocket No.23. Lining up 8th for the start, Snook tracked down 2025 Bedford champion Kyle Lear and took the lead on the 18th lap and would go on to secure the victory. Lear held tough for second with Shawn Shoemaker, Brian Lowrey and Gunnar Walls trailing at the finish. Heats went to Lear and Walls.

Newly crowned track champion Kyle Beckett took top honors in the 20-lap Pure Stock feature. Following Beckett across the line were Darian Ritchey, Ryan Beckett, Dominic Weyandt and Madison Miller. Charlie Clise and Madison Miller were heat race winners.
