Feathers and Spicer Fly at another Fast Friday Night at Bedford

April 12th, 2026

Trever Feathers and Josh Spicer were the big winners Friday night at Bedford
Speedway. Feathers got the victory in the 25 lap Late Model feature: Spicer earning the win in the 20 lap inaugural 2026 305 Sprint event at the track. A surprise April shower caused the 15 lap Semi Late feature to be cut short putting Kyle Weyant on the stage for his first 2026 win.

Trever Feathers started 5 th in the Late Model 25 lap feature. The feature had a rocky start as the initial start was recalled immediately after an infraction was called. The second attempted start was also halted quickly due to a seven-car melee in turn one. The field was put under red and another minor melee ensued on the track. The third and final start brought Jakob Piper to the front of the field as Trever Feathers, originally having started fifth, began his climb to the front. Feathers worked his way to second place by lap 7 and took off after Piper making a successful pass for the lead on lap 9. From there on Feathers opened a sizable lead over the rest of the field. He ultimately took the checkered flag on lap 25. Feathers was followed by Shawn Shoemaker, Tyler Emory, Nathan LaSalle, and Taylor Farlling. Late Model Heat race winners were: Jakob Piper and Clinton Hersh.

In the 305 Sprints, Josh Spicer started at the front and maintained his lead throughout the feature as a springtime rainstorm gathered in the distance. The event ran to completion, 20 laps, all green. Spicer was followed by Jeff Weaver, Cole Dewease, Dylan Shatzer, and Ken Duke.
305 Sprint Heat race winners were: AJ Barton and Ken Duke.

The Semi Late feature took the track as barely noticeable raindrops started to fall. Kyle Weyant jumped to an initial lead and held on for the duration of the race. During a caution on lap 10 the rain overtook the area and conditions were deemed too precarious to continue. The feature was checked on lap 10 and ruled complete as the field stood placing Weyant in victory lane followed by Garrett Keifer, Bob Jay, Ryan Sager, and Brian Weyandt.
Semi Late Heat race winners were: Brian Weyandt and Bob Jay.

The pop-up April shower caused the event to pause before the 4 Cylinders could take the track. As qualifying had completed for this event the line-up is set and will be run to completion at a future date.
The 4 Cylinder heats were won by: Jason Diehl and Josh Corbin.
