Night One of Bedford Speedway’s 9th annual Keystone Cup weekend kicked off with another great night of racing. The night included full feature events for the Late Model Sportsman, 305 Sprints and 4-Cylinders. The speedway also offered lap time for any Late Model drivers wanting to get an extra practice session ahead of Saturday night’s main event, the $20,000 to win 55 lap feature which has become the pinnacle of the Speedway’s season.
In Friday night action Spike Moore took home his third 2026 Late Model Sportsman victory as well as his first win in the Semi Late division. Moore borrowed the Childer’s 65 machine for the night finding his way to the front of the pack and earning a spot in track history as the second driver in Bedford history to win two events in one night in two different divisions.
George Dixon led the first 9 laps of the 25-lap Late Model Sportsman event. Dixon managed to earn a comfortable lead until a snafu with lapped traffic brought out a caution. On the restart Moore dug in hard from the top and dove by Dixon to take the lead bringing Kyle Lee with him. Lee originally started 6th and pushed his way forward quickly. The pair took off but Dixon wasn’t going to let them get away. He chased them through lapped traffic to gain back his second-place spot by the time the checkered flag dropped.
The 305 Sprints returned to the track and Kolby Weaver and Kasey Weaver dominated the field to earn a first and second place finish. Kolby Weaver bringing home his first Bedford Speedway win of the season. Tom Brady picked up his third 2026 win in the 4-Cylinder division.
