Bedford will be in racing action twice this holiday weekend, beginning on Friday night for the Late Model Special “Johnny Grum Tribute” Grum, the legendary driver who passed away in 2012 will be honored with the first major Late Model show of the season. The Late Models will be racing 40 laps for a $4000 to win- $400 to start purse. Joining them Friday night will be the Semi Lates, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders.
General Admission on Friday is $18, with kids 12 and under free and pit admission $30. Gates open at 5:00, with warmups at 7:00 and racing at 7:30.
Racing action returns on Monday evening as part of the speedways “Memorial Day Salute”. The Late Model Sportsman will be running 25 laps for $1000 to win, with the added twist of racing topless. They will be joined by the Racesaver 305 Sprints, the Pure Stocks, Modifieds and Four Cylinders. Special visits will also be made by the Penn-Mar Vintage Club and the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club on Monday.
Monday General Admission is $10, with kids 12 and under free and pit admission $25. Gates open at 4:00, with warmups at 7:00 and racing at 7:30.
