Bedford will be in racing action twice this holiday weekend, beginning on Friday night for the $4000 to win Late Model “Johnny Grum Tribute”. The Late Models will be racing 40 laps for a $4000 to win- $400 to start purse. Joining them will be the Modifieds, Semi Lates and Four Cylinders.
Fridays show will utilize the LM Speedweek format of group time trials setting the lineup for the heats, the top heat finishers will redraw for their feature starting position. LM Speedweek tire and body rules will also be in effect for this show.
General Admission on Friday is $20, with kids 12 and under free and pit admission $30. Gates open at 5:00, with warmups at 7:00 and racing at 7:30.
Racing action returns on Sunday evening as part of the speedways “Memorial Day Salute”. The Late Model Sportsman will be running 25 laps for $1000 to win, with the added twist of racing topless. They will be joined by the Racesaver 305 Sprints, Pure Stocks, and Four Cylinders. A special visit will also be made by the Penn-Mar Vintage Club.
Sunday General Admission is $10, with kids 12 and under free and pit admission $25. Gates open at 4:00, with warmups at 7:00 and racing at 7:30.
