It will be a doubleheader weekend at Bedford with racing action on both Friday and Sunday night this week.
Coming Friday night August 19th will be the annual “Legends of Route 30 Night” featuring a car show and on track exhibition from the classic racers of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. The Late Models will be in action racing 30 laps for $2500 to win joined by the Semi Lates, Modifieds and Four Cylinders.
Friday general admission will be $15, kids 12 and under free and pit admission will be $25.
Sunday nights is Ladies Night at the speedway; all women will be receiving free general admission in the grandstands. The Laurel Highlands Racesaver 305 Sprints will be in action, joined by the Late Model Sportsman, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders. Also scheduled is the always fun and thrilling kids candy toss on the frontstretch.
Sunday general admission will be $10, women general admission free, kids 12 and under are free and pit admission is $25. Gates open an hour earlier on Sunday at 4, with warmups at 6 and racing at 6:30.
The following week August 26th, Fast Friday racing returns, including a special visit by the Penn Mar Vintage Cars. The Late Model Sportsman will be racing 25 laps for $1000 to win that night, joined by the Late Models, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders.
The following weekend, Labor Day brings with it the 29th Annual Labor Day Classic for the Late Models. They will be racing 55 laps for a $5055 to win top prize. Labor Day marks the traditional end to the Bedford regular season as all points will come to the conclusion that weekend.
