Five Divisions, Five New Feature Winners

Bedford Speedway’s winner circle got a little more crowded Friday night as another round of drivers secured their first 2026 wins for the season at the track. Davie Franek took the win in the URC Sprint feature. Chubby Childers took home the Semi Late win and Denver Dishong won the Pure Stock feature. Jason Diehl won the 4-Cylinder feature and Dacron Powell won the Crown Vic event.

In the URC Sprint event Josh Spicer took an early lead passing polesitter Chance Hendershot. Spicer did his best to hold off second place Josh Weller but Weller managed to get by him on lap 17. Davie Franek, originally having started 5th, fought his way through the pack to pass both Spicer and Weller with two laps to go. Franek kept his lead to the finish line and parked it in victory lane. Franek was followed by Josh Weller, Josh Spicer, Michael Walter, and Chance Hendershot.

In the Semi Late feature Chubby Childers brought home his first win of the 2026 season at the speedway. Childers took the lead from Bob Jay immediately and managed to hold his position despite challenges from Bob Jay and Cody Jarvie. Childers was followed by Bob Jay, Brian Weyandt, Cody Jarvie, and Dave Brown.

In the Pure Stocks Denver Dishong, originally starting fifth, also secured his first 2026 win at the track. As soon as the green was waved Dishong and second place finisher Kyle Beckett made their moves, jumping from their fourth and fifth positions to first and second within a lap. The pair set the pace for the race and came across the finish line respectively. Dishong was followed by Kyle Beckett, Shawm Wyles, Charlie Clise, and Madison Miller.

In the 4-Cylinder feature Jason Diehl made an early pass for the lead and maintained the spot for the 12 Lap event. Behind him Isaac Kormanski and Tom Brady raced hard for second place, with Brady finally managing to gain some space on lap 5. Diehl brings home his first 2026 Bedford win while being followed by Tom Brady, Josh Corbin, Isaac Kormanski, and Wayne Brenize.

4-Cylinder Heat Race Winners: Josh Corbin and Jason Diehl

A full field of Crown Vics took to the track for their 12 Lap feature. Ed Vogel was able to hold off the lot of them to claim his first 2026 Bedford victory in the division as well. Vogel was followed across the finish line by Jeff Detwiler, Shawn Metty, Byler Aikey, and Charlie Clise.
