Lane Snook Sneaks By

May 16th, 2026

Bedford completed its 8th race of the 2026 season on Friday night and added a new crop of feature winners to its list. Lane Snook emerged victorious in the Limited Late Model event earning his second Late Model Sportsman win of the 2026 season. Joining him in victory lane was John Miller in the Semi Lates, Braydale Bauman in the Pure Stocks, Isaac Kormanski in the 4-Cylinders and Quinten Beeman in the Crown Vics.

As the Late Model Sportsman took to the track polesitter Devin Weyandt set a hard pace and opened a comfortable lead. A late caution allowed second place Brian Booze and third place Lane Snook to close in on Weyandt. A misstep two laps later took Weyandt out of the race and left Snook and Booze to duke it out for the lead. Snook found his lane and held on until the checkered flag flew on lap 20. Snook was followed across the finish line by Brian Booze, Kyle Lear, Taylor Farlling, and Codey Breeden.

Late Model Sportsman heat race winners: Devin Weyandt, Brian Booze, Taylor Farlling.

In the Semi Lates front runner John Miller held on to his starting position despite being hounded by second place Bob Jay for the duration of the feature. The two battled it out while third place finisher Chubby Childers slowly fought his way through the pack from his 8th place starting position. Miller and Jay crossed the finish line respectively creating a rarely seen 1 – 2 Ford finish. The top 5 was rounded out by Chubby Childers in third, Kyle Deneen in fourth, and Kyle Weyandt in fifth.

Semi Late heat race winners: Garrett Keifer, Dave Brown.

The Pure Stock feature was dominated by Braydale Bauman who managed to resist challenges from the rest of the field. Charlie Clise was relentless in his charge to the front. Clise originally started 7th and fought his way slowly but steadily through the pack taking advantage of some mid-race cautions. Clise followed Dominic Weyandt for several laps waiting to make his move and finally got by with just 3 laps to go. Bauman was followed across the line by Charlie Clise, Dominic Weyandt, Madison Miller, and Shawn Wyles.

Pure Stock heat race winners: Shawn Wyles, Braydale Bauman.
