Bryan Bernheisel got his 2025 season off to a great start with a big win in the Late Model event at Bedford Friday night.   It was his third career Bedford win, placing him one ahead of his famous father.  Jason Shultz shook off some rust as he returned to Bedford for the first time in years and grabbed the win in the annual URC sprint car visit, his first local win since 2019.

In other action, Kyle Weyandt came from deep in the Semi Late field to score a dramatic win, Darian Ritchey made it two in a row in Pure Stock action and Wayne Brenize scored in the 4 Cylinder finale which featured a wild frontstretch flip. Read more »

After four attempts, Bedford Speedway finally got the 2025 underway although it was with the use of a Sunday raindate.  Kyle Lear was up to the challenge with a pole to pole dominating win in the Limited event while  Josh Spicer came from the pack to score the thrilling 305 win.

In other action, Rick Potter came from deep in the field to take the initial Semi Late win before Darian Ritchey scored the Pure Stock win and Josh Ringer grabbed the Crown Vic evening closer.

By the luck of the draw Kyle Lear started the Limited event from the pole and grabbed the lead at the start.  Shawn Shoemaker took up the chase but fell back as the race progressed.   As the top two ran in formation, the man on the move was Clinton Hersh. Read more »

Continuing his recent legacy of  taking big Bedford post  season events, Mason Zeigler won the 2024 Keystone Cup at the track Saturday night.  It was Zeigler’s third win in the last 4 high paying post season events including two Labor Day 55s, and his sixth career Bedford win.  Including his take in the Friday prelims, his weekend was worth over $26,000.

In other action in the season ending event, for the second week in a row a Walls scored his first ever Limited Late Model win, this time it was Keith, following a Gunner win in the last Limited event.  2024 track champion Spike Moore easily scored the EMod win and Josh Ringer closed the season with a Crown Vic win. Max Blair and Mason Zeigler easily swept the two qualifying events in the first night of the 2024 Keystone Cup event at Bedford Friday night.  In the unique Keystone format, the racers were divided into two events based on time trial results with nine to qualify from each 20 lap event.

Blair shot by fast timer  Alex Ferree on the first lap and led the distance in the first  event.  Dan Stone got by Ferree on lap two and chased Blair for the distance.  While the top two easily pulled away from the field, the real battle was for the ninth and final qualifying spot as  Jason Covert and  Colby Frye came from deep in the field to wrestle all race long with John Lee and Jared Miley for that spot. Driving the famous 43a, Jason Covert staged a rousing come from behind victory at Bedford  Saturday night.  It was his eighth career Bedford Late Model win but the first for him since July 2019.

Other Saturday action in the non points post season show featured three first time winners as young Gunner Walls won his first Limited victory ever anywhere while Braedon Varner (305) and Quinton Beeman (Crown Vic) took their first Bedford wins.   Isaac Kormanski held off furious challenges to take the 4 Cylinder finale.

Jason Covert started on the front row in the pill draw event and took the early Late Model lead but Kyle Hardy in the Jim McBee 11 zoomed by on lap 4. Hardy almost instantly opened up on the field and got away on each of the early restarts. Read more »

Cole Falloway  roared into Bedford and took the closing event of the annual fallfest weekend Saturday.   The win in the 39 lap annual Troutman tribute  EMod event was worth $10,000.    In the companion Limited Late Model event, Kyle Hardy took a convincing victory in the McBee owned 11 car.

Cole Falloway lined up 7th in the Emod event and started his march forward almost immediately as David Stremme led early.  Will Krup took second on lap two and immediately started working on Stremme for the lead.   But Falloway was on the move.   He was fourth on lap 6 and got by Friday winner Spike Moore on lap 8.   He quickly ran down the leaders, taking second from Krup on lap 11. Greg Spike Moore rose to the occasion and dominated the EMod event as day two of the Troutman Tribute unfolded at Bedford Friday night.  In other action Kyle Deneen held off a late challenge to take the Semi Late event.

Spike Moore, the reigning track champion started the 30 lap EMod event from the pole after winning the fast time dash.   He out dragged fellow front row starter Kyle Strickler at the start and basically never looked back on the field after that.   Mason Zeigler and Will Krup both got by Strickler in the early laps and set up to chase Moore early.  Read more »

The annual Bedford fallfest  weekend, the Troutman memorial, opened Thursday night with 2024  consistent winners Chubby Childers and Wayne Brenize  capturing wins.   Childers took the Pure Stock event and Brenize was the 4 Cylinder winner.  Also on the program was a one off visit of Crown Vics won by Josh Ringer.

Ian Cumens made his long tow to Bedford a happy one as he snared the 305 feature at the track Sunday night.  Other action featured the last point races for each class and the titles were decided.  Bill Replogle took the Semi Late win, George Dixon took the Limited event, Denver Dishong hung on to win the Pure Stock race and Chris Graybill took the 4 Cylinder finale.

Mike Alleman took the first lap lead in the 305 event which was slowed, then stopped on lap two for a wild six car crash in turn one.  In the mayhem, Jay Fry flipped and Josh Spicer tipped while the others spun or crashed wildly, causing an extended red flag session. Read more »

For over 50 laps it appeared that Travis Stickley was going to win the biggest race of his career, but in the end it was Mason Zeigler on the stage after the annual Bedford Labor Day 55 Friday night. It was Zeigler’s second consecutive Labor Day event win at the track and was worth over $12000.  In other action. Mike Altobelli also repeated his 2023 event win as he prevailed in the EMod event

Travis Stickley burst into the early lead in the 55, run in honor of former driver and car owner Bob Elbin, and quickly pulled away from second place chaser Jeff Rine. driving the Elbin family car.  Zeigler easily threaded through early lapped traffic by lap 12 and actually increased his lead.
