This weekend, Bedford will partner with our friends at Hagerstown for a mini shootout series for the Late Models and Late Model Sportsman this weekend. The top three drivers in points after Friday night’s show at Bedford and Saturday nights show at Hagerstown will each receive a point’s payoff.

Racing action will continue on Sunday, April 30^th, with the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars making their first of two 2017 visits to Bedford. Bedford will be the final stop of the All- Stars first Pennsylvania swing of the year, following stops at Williams Grove on Friday and Port Royal on Sunday. Read more »

Due to the current weather conditions, as well as the forecasted weather conditions for Friday, speedway officials have made the decision to move Friday nights scheduled Opening Day back two days to Sunday. Faced with rain all day Thursday, followed by freezing temperatures and possibly snow on Friday, we feel that this is the best opportunity to get the season started this weekend.

With Opening Day now scheduled for Sunday April 9^th, in action will be the Late Models, Modifieds, Semi Lates, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders. Times will move up one hour, with gates opening at 4pm, warmups at 6pm and racing at 6:30. General admission will be $12, with kids 12 and under free in the grandstands. Pit admission is $25.

This Friday night the 2017 Bedford racing season will officially get begin. Competing in racing action will be the Late Models, Modifieds, Semi Lates, Pure Stocks and Four Cylinders. In cooperation with our friends at Hagerstown, the winner of Friday night’s Late Model opener will become an automatic qualifier for the Hagerstown Speedway 70^th Anniversary race. In turn, Gary Stuhler, the winner Hagerstown’s opener this past Saturday night has become an automatic qualifier to Bedford’s 81^st Anniversary race on July 14^th which will pay $8100 to win.

Bedford hosted its annual car show and test and tune day this Sunday. A nice turnout of 63 cars, and a good crowd of spectators were on hand preparing for the 2017 season championship.  A special thanks goes out to everyone who came to the speedway on Sunday.  Read more »

Racers notes and some things of interest regarding the upcoming Bedford racing season which kicks off on Sunday April 2^nd, with the annual car show and practice session.

Late Model 600th Race Celebration: This year the speedway will be hosting its 600^th Late Model feature event, dating back to 1965 when what we now call Late Models began running at Bedford. During that time there have been 138 different drivers claim a Bedford win. To mark the 600^th Late Model race in Bedford history, we will be inviting each of the 138 Bedford Late Model winners to the track on Friday June 16^th for a tribute. Read more »

While winter continues to descend on Western Pennsylvania, Bedford Speedway is preparing for the 2017 racing season. Speedway officials have released the schedule for the new year of racing which will feature 29 nights of racing action.

The big fairgrounds track, which first featured racing in 1936, will commence on track activity on Sunday afternoon April 2^nd with the annual car show held at the track in conjunction with the Bedford Home & Garden Show.

Immediately following the car show will be a test and tune session open to all racers. Opening Day will officially kick off the 2017 racing season the following week on Friday April 7th. Read more »
