NEW WINNERS CLOSE OUT BEDFORD FAIR WEEK

Three first time feature winners emerged as the second night of racing closed out the Bedford Fair week Friday night. Travis Stickley made a desperate last lap effort pay off to score his first ever Bedford win before the huge Fair crowd. Laura Chamberlain and Denver Dishong also scored career firsts in Semi Late and Pure Stock action Mike Altobelli was the only repeater as he swept to yet another EMod win.

Nathan Lasalle and Travis Stickley led the Late Model field to the green and danced together the entire 25 laps. Lasalle took the lead at the start but Stickley was all over the leader every lap. With Stickley working the bottom groove, Lasalle had enough momentum on the outside to repel every challenge.

Stickley thought he had a shot as the pair encountered lapped traffic on lap 17, but again Lasalle was up to the challenge and hung on. The event;s only yellow flew a lap later giving the pair a break, but the restart found Stickley again in hot pursuit. Read more »

NEW WINNERS GREET BEDFORD FAIR CROWD

The 2021 Great Bedford Fair opened Sunday night and a huge fair crowd witnessed thrills, excitement and two new winners in the four event program.

Kassidy Krietz scored her first ever Bedford win with a come from behind effort in the 305 sprint headliner and 4 Cylinder graduate Ed Vogel scored his first ever Bedford Crate Mod win. Taylor Farlling easily took the Limited win before Colin Welsh took the 4Cylinder finale Read more »

FIVE DOLLAR NIGHT PRODUCES SURPRISE WINNERS AT BEDFORD

The annual $5 night program at Bedford, this year featuring four 21 lap feature events, and produced three and almost four long shot winners Friday night.

Brian Weyandt Jr came from deep in the Semi Late field to deny Laura Chamberlain her first ever feature win in Semi Late action. Visitor Dan Davies also came from deep in the field to score his first Bedford EMod win and Derrick Hinish ended a long retirement with his first Pure Stock win in over a decade before Ernie Hewitt ended the evening with his first ever 4 Cylinder victory.

It took three tries to get the Semi Late 21 lapper started, Wild four wide first lap action resulted in a wild 7 car pileup the length of the back stretch on the first attempt and the elimination several competitors early. Read more »

CLISE CLAIMS BEDFORD WIN

Chuck Clise roared to the 25 lap Late Model win Friday night at Bedford Speedway. The win was Clise’s seventh career victory at the track, worth $2000

While Clise’s win came in the Late Model event, the featured attraction of the night was the Charlie Walter memorial, the longest and most prestigious Pure Stock race of the year. Kyle Deneen emerged from some mid race drama to claim that 42 lap event. Mike Altobelli Jr easily took the Emod race before James Fairall returned to win another 4 Cylinder finale.

Front row starters Nathan Lasalle and Travis Stickley brought the Late Model field to the green with Lasalle grabbing the early lead. Stickley was all over Lasalle for the first few laps as Chuck Clise rolled in. Clise took Stickley on lap 6 and squeezed by Lasalle a lap later, then never looked back as the race went all green. HAUS EEKS OUT NARROW MILLER MEMORIAL WIN

Wearing the same number as Milt Miller used in his last few Bedford wins, Andy Haus scored the big win in the Miller Memorial event at the track Friday night. The win was a real nail biter as he held off challenges from both Jeff Rine and Gregg Satterlee for the win, worth $3000.

In other action, Greg Hainsey survived a photo finish which was in doubt for several minutes to take his first Semi Late win of the year, before Kyle Deneen and Jay Talley also became first time 2021 winners. Read more »

Feathers destroys Bedford field in EPIC kid’s night!

Trevor Feathers, an occasional Bedford Speedway visitor, made
his trip worthwhile Friday night as he scored the win in the Late Model
event. The win was his first ever at the big fairgrounds track and the
Feathers family became only the 12th father and son to win a Late

RINE SCORES AGAIN AT BEDFORD

Jeff Rine rallied late then ran off to score another Late Model win at Bedford Friday night. The win was the second of the season for Rine as he became the first multiple Late Model winner of 2021, and the 33rd of his career at the track. Rine is now second in career Bedford wins only a few behind he legendary Scott Haus.

In other action in the wild night of Bedford, action, Brian Weyandt Jr survived a race long battle to win the Semi Late event, George Dixon survived a last lap attack to post a near photo finish in EMod action, Barry Clark emerged from a mob for the Pure Stock win and Colin Welsh won the 4 Cylinder finale. “Satterlee Rallies Late for Monday Bedford Score”

     Bedford PA-  Indiana Pa’s Gregg Satterlee took top honors in last Mondays 40-lap “Turk Burkett Tribute” at Bedford Speedway. The win for Satterlee, came steering his familiar Rocket no.22 and was worth a cool $4000 pay day.

     Colton Flinner lead the field to green and burst into the lead on the first lap. As Flinner lead, the top five changed hands several times with fourth starting Gregg Satterlee taking the top spot on lap 33 as Flinner dropped from the event. Jeff Rine dogged Satterlee the rest of the way, but would have to settle for runner up honors. Gary Stuhler, Matt Cosner and Matt Sponaugle would complete the top five. Heats for the 20 cars entered went to Satterlee and Sponaugle.

    In support class action Nick Bechtel took the Semi-Late win with Dalton Weyandt scoring in the Pure Stocks.

FARLLING SCORES AGAIN AT BEDFORD

Late season soggy spring weather again tormented the Bedford Speedway but the track crew prevailed to complete the show Sunday night. The cool temperatures, fog, mist and overcast sky produced a hammer down track surface and three come from behind feature winners in the four division program.

Donnie Farlling was happy that the Limited event was five laps longer than usual as he rallied late to snag that win. Greg Dobrosky took over with three laps tp go to win the 305 event before Mike Altobelli went pole to pole in the EMod race. Point leader Todd Price emerged from a wild three car battle to end the evening with a popular 4 Cylinder win. Read more »

FARLLING LEADS WILD NIGHT OF ACTION AT BEDFORD

Warmer weather and the first full handicapping event produced great racing and a few surprises at Bedford Friday night.

Donnie Farlling rallied late to grab the Limited feature event while Chris Cogan snagged the EMod win literally in the last few feet of that 20 lapper. In other action, Brian Weyandt Jr came from deep in the field to take the Semi Late win, Charlie Clise emerged from a mob to take the Pure Stock race and Javid Fairall won his first ever 4 Cylinder event.

Brian Lowery got a super start in the Limited event, roaring from his fourth spot to lead the first lap. He motored away from the field early as the others jostled for positions. By lap 4 it was the Farlling family battling for second as Lowery slipped away. Read more »
