September 20th, 2015
DJ Myers and Drew Ritchey led the winners list as the Bedford season drew to a close Saturday night.  Myers came from mid pack in a strange ride to win his first ever Limited event at the track in the 35 lap special.  In doing so he matched his famous father Tom  among a small group of drivers who scored their first Limited win after accumulating multiple Late Model wins.  Drew Ritchey won the 305 Sprint event, the second of his career, and in doing so became the first ever repeat 305 winner at the track after 12 races.  Other winners as 2015 Fall Fest drew to a close were Tom Warren, Evan Taylor, Joe Dearmitt and Wade Peer.
Eric Irvan and Darrell Dick led the Limited field to the green and it was Dick with the early lead.    Irvin fell into the clutches of Grant Adams and Rick Singleton for second and they ran in that order at the first cation on lap 7.  On that restart, Myers and Ralph Morgan began their charge forward, with Myers up to fourth when Adams and Irvin slammed together on lap 11. SINGLETON AND AURAND CELEBRATE LABOR DAY AT BEDFORD

September 8th, 2015

KNAUB CRUISES TO BEDFORD 55 WIN

September 5th, 2015
In dominating fashion, from start to finish, Gene Knaub took the big prize in the annual Bedford Speedway Labor Day 55 Friday night.  The win bookended the season for Knaub,  who won his first career Bedford  winners hat on opening day this season and was worth $6055.  Only a few weeks removed from her first ever Bedford win,  Alyssa Rowe snagged another Emod victory at the track.  Jim Saccoi took the Semi Late 15 lapper.  Ryan Peer swept both 4 Cylinder races,  one being the holdover event from last week, to complete the holiday weekend program.
Jeff Rine was the pole sitter for the big 55 event but it was Knaub who got the jump at the start.  After a lap two yellow for a six car melee in turn one, Knaub actually sped away from Rine, as well as DJ Troutman and Matt Sponaugle.  Sponaugle took third from Troutman on lap 12 to chase Rine.   At that point, Rine and Troutman were basically tied in the season point race with everything on the line in this point finale.  Read more »

Two first time winners emerged from Friday night action in the wildest event of the season at the track.  Following in the footsteps of his famous father and grandfather, Drew Ritchey took his first ever win in the 305 sprint event, before Ron Bottenfield took his first ever Limited win.  Jesse Snyder won the Semi Late event, while Travis Group won the Charlie Walter Pure Stock event 42 lapper.  The wild night featured four separate red flag causing crashes, which delayed the show long enough to cause the 4 Cylinder finale to fall to curfew restrictions.
It took three tries to get the Limited event underway.  Nathan Lasalle crashed in turn one on the initial start and much of the field balled up in turn two bringing out the red flag on try number two.  That incident featured a bizarre moment as three cars made contact while stopping on the frontstretch for the red.  After that attempt, the field was lined up single file with Bottenfield at the point.
